Julia Jacklin is a Sydney-based singer/songwriter who has been quietly charming audiences around Australia over the past two years, road testing a group of songs that have recently been recorded in Lyttelton, New Zealand with rising producer Ben Edwards (Marlon Williams, Aldous Harding) and will be released in 2016.

Her songs are autobiographical, full of wry humour and astute observations about being let down by your parents, letting down lovers, looking out for family, masturbation, getting laid, and questioning whether one’s chosen path as a musician is going anywhere. Jacklin can be wistfully romantic, cold, wise and naive and it all feels like an honest depiction of life in your 20’s (or perhaps just life in general).

Julia's debut album is Don’t Let The Kids Win is set for release this October.
