To officially mark the closing of this years Gertrude Street Projection Festival, GSPF has teamed up with Melbourne based event and festival promoters Paradise to present a night of tailor-made, exclusive and once-off performances from cutting edge musicians, visual artists and a contemporary dance collective.
For the annually anticipated festival’s closing parting, the celebration will feature completely unique and interactive music, art and dance experiences for both audience and performer.
Performers include Sydney’s Marcus Whale (Collarbones, BV), who will be launching his debut album “Inland Sea”, with an exclusive Melbourne performance alongside twin percussionists.
The night will also feature a one-off collaborative audio-visual performance by Melbourne electronic acts friendships & Null, a debut AV set from producer Deer, a contemporary dance performance by Dreamteam Projects, and a burnout AV set by Paradise DJs.
The Gertrude Street Projection Festival is inner Melbourne’s most visible and accessible free large scale arts festival. For 10 evenings in July and in over 35 locations, the length of Gertrude Street in Fitzroy is illuminated by the visions of talented projection artists.
